The “zero-sum game” is both a fallacy and a cognitive bias. It is the belief that resources are limited so the gain of another is a loss for myself. In order for me to get richer, someone else must get poorer.
Technology switched to a positive sum game in that, benefits for others circle back to benefits for myself.
